1.General Rules for maintenance of Discipline:

i) The admitted students must abide by the rules and regulations as prescribed by the college authority. Violations may lead to disciplinary action like compulsory transfer, expulsion etc.

ii) Students must attend in college uniform----

                Boys- White Shirt & Grey colour Pant

                Girls—Grey Colour Salwar with White Pants and Churni.

iii) Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited inside the college campus. Anybody found indulged in Ragging will have to face disciplinary action . Moreover, Ragging is considered as an illegal activity.

iv) Use of Mobile Phone is strictly prohibited in the college campus . Anybody found in violations the rules,lead to disciplinary action.

v) The Students residind in college Hostel have to follow the rules prescribed by the Hostel and teacher-in-Charge apppinted there in.

2. Some Important rules Governing Semester System:

                These rules apply to those students who are enrolled in BA Courses under Dibrugarh University . The Courses are of Three years duration.

                Semester System: Odd Semester(1st ,2nd, 3rd )- June to January

                                                           Even Semester (2nd, 4th, 6th )- June to January)

Structure of the Courses of the Programme:

All BA Programme shall have the following competent:

Compulsory Courses: The Courses are compulsory for all enrolled Students.

Major Courses: Students can offer major in any one of the subjects.It is optional and not mandatory.

Non-major Courses : Students not opting major courses in any subjects are considered to be offering non-majorCourse.

Skill-Based Course: Skill Based Courses shall be mandatory for all students enrolled in general Courses. These courses are notified by the College in due course of time.

Attendance:

i)A students who has less than 80% attendance shall not be permitted to seat in the end semester examination in the course in which shortfall exists.

Providing that it shall be open to the University Grant  Commission to grant exemption to a student who has attended a minimum of 70% classes but fail to obtain the prescribed 80% attendance for valid reasons on recommendations of the HOD/Head of the Institution on payment of a prescribed fee(s).

                ii) The Principal of the College with recommendations of the HOD Shall announce the name of all the students who shall not be eligible to appeared the end semester examination in the various course due to specific reasons.

 

Percentage of seats filled against seats reserved for various categories (SC, ST, OBC, Divyangjan, etc. as per applicable reservation policy)
